Who looks for a Dolphin Anty alternative, and why
Dolphin Anty has a lot going for it. It runs on Windows, macOS (Intel and M-series) and Linux. Paid plans include cloud sync of profiles, cookies and extensions, with an option to turn sync off and keep profiles local. It has an API, a scenario builder for automation and a synchronizer, and its Starter plan costs $10 a month.
People who compare it with Multime usually look at two things:
- How team members are billed. On Dolphin Anty, Free and Starter have 1 user and extra users can't be bought. Base, Team and Enterprise include 1 user and charge $10, $20 or $25 per additional user. Multime's Team and Agency plans include VA seats in the plan price.
- Price at 100 and 300 profiles. Dolphin Anty's Base plan is $89 a month for 100 profiles and Team is $159 for 300. Multime Solo is $19 for 100 profiles, and Multime Team is $49 for 300 profiles with 5 VA seats.
Multime helps you keep client and business accounts separate and organized. It doesn't change any platform's rules or promise that an account won't be restricted.

Where Multime is different
VA seats come with the plan
Multime's Team plan includes 5 VA (virtual assistant) seats and Agency includes 20. You don't pay per person on top of the plan. Each VA gets an account the owner creates, with access only to the groups, profiles and actions the owner chooses.
The owner's computer hosts the workspace
Multime has no server between you and your VAs. The owner's computer runs an encrypted HTTPS server, and VAs reach it over the local network or a private network such as Tailscale. An owner dashboard shows who is online, which profile each VA has open and an activity log of every action. The owner can sign VAs out and lock accounts, and keeps a private workspace VAs never see.
A profile can be open by one person at a time. When a VA closes it, the cookies and chosen browser data go back to the owner's computer. While a VA has a profile open, that VA's computer holds the profile's session. The teams page covers the setup.
Price per profile at higher counts
| Profiles | Dolphin Anty (1-month billing) | Multime (monthly) |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | Base: $89, 1 user | Solo: $19, no VA seats |
| 300 | Team: $159, 1 user, +$20 per extra user | Team: $49, 5 VA seats |
| 1,000 | Enterprise: from $299, 1 user, +$25 per extra user | Agency: $129, 20 VA seats |
At small counts the gap closes: Dolphin Anty's Starter is $10 a month from 20 profiles, which is less than Multime Solo. Multime's plans are listed on the pricing page.
Local only, with no sync to switch off
Multime doesn't run a cloud for profiles, so there's no sync setting to manage. Passwords, 2FA keys, proxy passwords and cookies are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and the key is protected by macOS Keychain or Windows DPAPI.
An open-source engine
Profiles run on fingerprint-chromium, an open-source Chromium build with fingerprint patches under the BSD-3 license: Chrome 152 on Mac and Chrome 150 on Windows. Each engine download is checked against a SHA-256 checksum.
Where Dolphin Anty is the stronger choice
- Linux and Intel Macs. Dolphin Anty supports both. Multime runs only on Apple Silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows.
- Cloud sync as an option. Dolphin Anty's paid plans can sync profiles through its cloud or keep them local. Multime has no cloud option.
- Mobile operating systems for profiles. Dolphin Anty's pricing table lists desktop and mobile OS on every plan. Multime profiles can show Windows, macOS or Linux, with no Android or iOS profiles.
- Very large profile counts. Dolphin Anty's Enterprise selector goes up to 50,000 profiles. Multime's largest plan has 1,000.
- Lowest entry price. Starter at $10 a month is the cheaper way to get 20 profiles.
- Masking coverage. Multime always shows the real screen size and doesn't mask media devices, speech voices or custom font lists. On the Windows engine, canvas masking is switched off automatically because that build breaks text measuring when it's on.
How to move from Dolphin Anty to Multime
- Try Multime free. Download it, create a few profiles and test your proxies and websites.
- Bulk import proxies into Multime's saved list. HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5 and SSH are supported, with username and password handled by a local relay.
- Create profiles in bulk or from a spreadsheet, and organize them with groups and tags.
- Import cookies as JSON, Netscape cookies.txt or name=value text, and merge them with existing cookies if you like.
- Re-add extensions and saved logins. Extensions can go to all profiles or chosen ones. Saved logins keep passwords and 2FA secrets encrypted.
- Rebuild automation. Multime has a no-code RPA editor with scheduling and a Local API for Puppeteer, Playwright and Selenium. See automation.
Fingerprints don't carry over one to one. Each Multime profile gets its own seed, so its masked values stay the same between sessions and differ from every other profile.
Who should stay with Dolphin Anty
Stay with Dolphin Anty if you work on Linux or an Intel Mac, need profiles that show a mobile OS, want cloud sync available, or manage more than 1,000 profiles. If 20 profiles and one user cover your work, its Starter plan also costs less.
