Intel Macs are not supported. Each profile you use adds its own browser data on disk, the same way a normal Chrome profile does, so leave room for growth if you plan to run hundreds of profiles.
Install on a Mac
- Download the Mac file above. It is a zip file containing Multime.app.
- Open the zip to unpack it, then move Multime into your Applications folder.
- Open Multime. Multime isn't notarized by Apple yet, so the first time macOS may say it can't verify the app. Click Done, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to the message about Multime and click Open Anyway. You only need to do this once per version.
- On the first launch, macOS may ask for your Mac password so Multime can store its encryption key in your keychain. Type your login password and click Always Allow.
- Sign in with your Multime account. No account yet? Create one free; it takes a minute.
- In Multime, open Settings → Kernels and download the browser engine. The download is checked against a SHA-256 checksum before it is installed.
- Create a profile, add a proxy if you have one, and click Open.
Read Multime for Mac for details on Apple Silicon support and what to expect when the app updates.
Install on Windows
- Download the Windows installer above.
- Run it. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. This message appears for new apps until they build up a reputation with Microsoft SmartScreen.
- Choose where to install and finish the setup.
- Open Multime and sign in with your Multime account (create one free if you don't have one yet).
- Go to Settings → Kernels and download the browser engine.
- Create a profile and click Open.
See Multime for Windows for more about the Windows engine.
Check your download
Under each download button you'll find the file's SHA-256 checksum. To check it:
- Mac: open Terminal and run
shasum -a 256followed by the path to the file. - Windows: open PowerShell and run
Get-FileHashfollowed by the path to the file.
The result should match the checksum on this page exactly. If it doesn't, delete the file and download it again.
Your account and plan
Everyone signs in with a free Multime account, which starts on the Free plan. When you buy a plan on the pricing page, it's added to the same account: in Multime, open Settings → Plan and click Check now, and your new limits apply right away. Your existing profiles stay as they are. VAs who join your team workspace don't need their own account.
Updating Multime
New versions are listed in the changelog. To update, download the new version from this page and install it over the old one. Your profiles, proxies and settings stay in place, because they are stored separately from the app. On a Mac, macOS may ask for your password again after an update so the new version can read its keychain key.
