Who looks for a HideMyAcc alternative, and why
HideMyAcc has a lot in common with Multime. Both keep profiles in a local folder or database on your computer, both run on Windows and macOS, and both have no-code automation and a window synchronizer. HideMyAcc adds iOS and Android fingerprints, a proxy store and free residential proxy traffic on larger plans. Its pricing page offers a 7-day free trial and 50% off on yearly billing.
We make Multime, so we compete with HideMyAcc. Every HideMyAcc fact on this page links to HideMyAcc's own website, and how we compare explains the rules we follow.
People who compare HideMyAcc with Multime usually look at three things:
- A free plan. HideMyAcc has no free plan, only the 7-day trial. Multime's free plan has 5 profiles, needs no card and doesn't expire.
- The monthly price at 100 profiles. HideMyAcc Base is $49 a month for 100 profiles, or $25 a month on yearly billing. Multime Solo is $19 a month or $190 a year for 100 profiles.
- How many team members are included. HideMyAcc's Team plan includes 3 free sub-accounts. Multime's Team plan includes 5 VA (virtual assistant) seats, and the workspace runs on the owner's own computer.
Multime helps you keep client and business accounts separate and organized. It doesn't change any platform's rules or promise that an account won't be restricted.

Where Multime is different
A free plan that doesn't expire
Multime's free plan gives you 5 profiles on 1 computer with no card. It includes the profile, fingerprint, proxy, cookie and saved-login tools. Automation, the Local API and the window synchronizer need Solo or higher, and the team workspace needs Team or Agency. The free plan page lists what's included.
100 profiles for $19 a month
Multime Solo costs $19 a month for 100 profiles, about 19 cents per profile, or $190 a year. That's lower than HideMyAcc Base on both monthly and yearly billing ($49 a month, or $25 a month billed yearly). Solo can be activated on 2 computers and includes RPA, the Local API and the window synchronizer. On HideMyAcc, API access starts with the Base plan.
More VA seats in the team plans
Multime's Team plan costs $49 a month and includes 300 profiles and 5 VA seats. Agency costs $129 a month and includes 1,000 profiles and 20 VA seats. Every active VA or admin account uses one seat; turned-off accounts don't.
HideMyAcc includes 3 free sub-accounts on Team and 5 on Business. Its team member docs say extra sub-accounts are paid "based on the number of days remaining" on the main account.
Your computer hosts the team workspace
HideMyAcc offers sub-accounts, profile and folder sharing, profile transfer and activity history. Multime offers similar controls, but the workspace runs on the owner's computer. That computer runs an encrypted HTTPS server, and VAs reach it over the local network or a private network such as Tailscale. There is no Multime server in between.
The owner chooses which groups, profiles and actions each VA may use. An owner dashboard shows who is online, which profile each VA has open and an activity log of every action. A profile can be open by one person at a time. When a VA closes it, the cookies and chosen browser data go back to the owner's computer. VAs don't see saved passwords or 2FA secrets unless the owner allows it, and the owner can sign VAs out or lock their accounts. One honest limit: while a VA has a profile open, the VA's computer holds that profile's session. The teams page explains the setup.
No cloud copy at all
HideMyAcc keeps profiles in a local folder that you can change, and its pricing page also lists cloud backup. Multime keeps profiles, cookies and saved logins only in a local database. Passwords, 2FA keys, proxy passwords and cookies are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and the key is protected by macOS Keychain or Windows DPAPI.
An open-source engine
Every Multime profile runs on fingerprint-chromium, an open-source Chromium build with fingerprint patches under the BSD-3 license. You download engines inside the app, and each download is checked against a SHA-256 checksum.
Where HideMyAcc is the stronger choice
- Trying paid features first. HideMyAcc's 7-day trial lets you test before you pay. Multime's free plan doesn't include RPA, the Local API or the window synchronizer, so you need Solo to test those.
- Mobile fingerprints. HideMyAcc offers iOS and Android fingerprints on Base and above. Multime has no Android or iOS profiles.
- Proxies from the same vendor. HideMyAcc has a Proxy Store with partner discounts, a free proxy option and free residential proxy traffic on Base, Team and Business. With Multime, you bring your own proxy provider.
- Synchronizer layouts. HideMyAcc's synchronizer lets you set a custom window layout.
- Script recording. HideMyAcc's no-code scripts include drag and drop, action recording, import and scheduling.
- Intel Macs. HideMyAcc's macOS build covers Apple M1 to M4 and Intel. Multime runs only on Apple Silicon Macs.
- Yearly price at 1,000 profiles. HideMyAcc Business is $99 a month on yearly billing. Multime Agency is $1,290 a year, about $107.50 a month, though it includes 20 VA seats against HideMyAcc's 5 free sub-accounts.
- Very small setups. HideMyAcc Mini is $10 a month, or $5 on yearly billing, for 5 profiles. If you need just 5, Multime's free plan covers you, but you'll need Solo for automation.
- More browser brands. HideMyAcc's release notes list user agents for Chrome, Edge and Brave, plus Opera and Yandex. Multime profiles can show Chrome, Edge, Opera or Vivaldi.
- Masking coverage. Multime always shows the real screen size and doesn't mask media devices, speech voices or custom font lists. On the Windows engine (Chrome 150), canvas masking is switched off automatically because that build breaks text measuring when it's on.
How to move from HideMyAcc to Multime
- Start on the free plan. Download Multime, create a few profiles and test your proxies and websites first.
- Bring proxies over in bulk. Multime takes HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5 and SSH proxies with username and password. Paste your list into the bulk import, then assign proxies per profile or choose "random saved proxy". Change-IP links work for rotating proxies.
- Create profiles in bulk or from a spreadsheet, then sort them with groups, tags, remarks and custom numbers.
- Move cookies. If you can export a profile's cookies as JSON or Netscape cookies.txt, import them into the matching Multime profile, with the option to merge.
- Add extensions and saved logins. Add extensions for all profiles or chosen ones, and re-enter logins with their 2FA secrets. Multime shows live 2FA codes.
- Rebuild automation. Recreate your scripts in Multime's RPA editor, or point Puppeteer, Playwright or Selenium scripts at the Local API. Test on a test profile first.
- Set up your team. On Team or Agency, create VA accounts and choose which groups and actions each VA may use.
Fingerprints don't carry over one to one. Each Multime profile gets its own seed, which keeps its masked values the same every time it opens and different from every other profile.
Who should stay with HideMyAcc
Stay with HideMyAcc if you need iOS or Android fingerprints, an Intel Mac, proxy traffic from your profile tool or a custom synchronizer layout. Stay too if yearly billing at 1,000 profiles with up to 5 team members fits you. If you want a free plan that doesn't expire, 100 profiles for $19 a month and more VA seats in a team plan, Multime is worth a test.
