An Incogniton alternative with 100 profiles in the first paid plan

Multime is a desktop browser-profile manager for Mac and Windows. Its first paid plan has 100 profiles, data stays in a local database on your computer, and team plans include VA seats your own machine hosts.

Who looks for an Incogniton alternative, and why

Incogniton is a profile manager for Windows and macOS, with builds for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Its homepage says your data is saved in its encrypted cloud servers, so you can open profiles from all your devices and browser data is synced between them. It has a Cookie Collector, cookie import and export, Selenium, Puppeteer and REST API automation on paid plans, and a free starter package with 10 profiles for the first two months.

People who compare it with Multime usually care about:

  • Profile count for the money. Incogniton's Starter Plus is $19.99 a month for 10 profiles. Multime Solo is $19 a month for 100 profiles.
  • Where the data lives. Multime doesn't run a cloud for profiles. Everything stays in a local database on your computer, with secrets encrypted.
  • Team seats. Incogniton's Starter Plus has no team seats, Entrepreneur lets you buy them, and Professional includes 3. Multime's Team plan includes 5 VA seats and Agency includes 20.

Multime helps you keep client and business accounts separate and organized. It doesn't change any platform's rules or promise that an account won't be restricted.

Where Multime is different

100 profiles in the first paid plan

Multime Solo is $19 a month for 100 profiles, about 19 cents per profile, and can be activated on 2 computers. Incogniton's Starter Plus is $19.99 a month for 10 profiles, about $2 per profile. At the team level, Multime Team is $49 a month for 300 profiles and 5 VA seats, while Incogniton's Professional is $79.99 a month for 150 profiles and 3 seats. All Multime prices are on the pricing page.

Local storage, no vendor cloud

Profiles, cookies and saved logins live in a local database on your Mac or PC. Passwords, 2FA keys, proxy passwords and cookies are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and the key is protected by macOS Keychain or Windows DPAPI. The local-first page shows what is stored where and what still goes over the internet.

VA control from the owner's computer

Instead of a vendor cloud, Multime's team workspace runs on the owner's computer as an encrypted HTTPS server. VAs (virtual assistants) reach it over the local network or a private network such as Tailscale. The owner creates VA accounts, chooses which groups, profiles and actions each one may use, and sees who is online, which profile each VA has open and an activity log of every action.

A profile can be open by one person at a time. When a VA closes it, the cookies and chosen browser data go back to the owner's computer. While a VA has a profile open, that VA's computer holds the profile's session. The teams page walks through it.

An open-source engine

Every profile runs on fingerprint-chromium, an open-source Chromium build with fingerprint patches under the BSD-3 license: Chrome 152 on Mac and Chrome 150 on Windows. Each engine download is checked against a SHA-256 checksum.

Cookies and saved logins

Multime imports cookies as JSON, Netscape cookies.txt or name=value text, exports them, and can merge imported cookies with existing ones. Cookies are saved when a profile closes. Saved logins hold platform, username, password and 2FA secret per profile, with live 2FA codes.

Where Incogniton is the stronger choice

  • Intel Macs. Incogniton supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Multime runs only on Apple Silicon.
  • Access from several devices. Incogniton syncs browser data between the devices you log in on. Multime has no cloud sync; others reach your profiles through the workspace your computer hosts.
  • Cookie Collector. Incogniton has a tool called Cookie Collector. Multime has cookie import, export and merge, but no tool by that name.
  • A longer free start. Incogniton's free package gives 10 profiles for the first two months, then 3. Multime's free plan has 5 profiles and needs no card.
  • Masking coverage. Multime always shows the real screen size and doesn't mask media devices, speech voices or custom font lists. It has no Android or iOS profiles. On the Windows engine, canvas masking is switched off automatically because that build breaks text measuring when it's on.

How to move from Incogniton to Multime

  1. Test on the free plan. Download Multime, create a few profiles and check your proxies and websites.
  2. Export cookies from Incogniton. Its paid plans include cookie export. Import each file into the matching Multime profile as JSON or Netscape cookies.txt, and choose whether to merge.
  3. Bulk import your proxies. Multime supports HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5 and SSH with username and password, plus change-IP links for rotating proxies.
  4. Create profiles in bulk or from a spreadsheet, then organize them with groups, tags, remarks and custom numbers.
  5. Add extensions and saved logins. Extensions can go to all profiles or chosen ones.
  6. Reconnect automation through the Local API for Puppeteer, Playwright or Selenium, or build flows in the no-code RPA editor.

Fingerprints don't carry over one to one. Each Multime profile gets its own seed, which keeps its masked values stable between sessions and different from every other profile.

Who should stay with Incogniton

Stay with Incogniton if you work on an Intel Mac, want your profiles available on every device you log in from, or depend on the Cookie Collector. If 10 profiles cover your needs, Incogniton's 6-month rate of $13.99 a month is also lower than Multime Solo's $19.
